My username is JustSavy, but my old account was Dolphinessss. It's been quite some time since I've been on the server, or being a part of a public vanilla server in general. I have been a part of this community for a long time, which is why I'm even more regretful that I was jailed my first time being back after so long. I thought since I was so close to spawn that grabbing a few items would be ok, but some of them were more valuable (such as wither skulls) and I made sure to put them back. Even though it's been a long time since I've been active in this community, I do really love this server. I was excited to be able to play with a friends for the first time, but it's not excuse for breaking the rules. I won't make this kind of mistake again. I would like to put forth a proposition which has been months in the waiting. The reason for this is that I have been off VanillaHigh attending university but I have the next few weeks off so hence why I am here asking. This appeal has also been considered between private conversations with Foxi and some other members of VanillaHigh a few months ago, whom have all at the time encouraged me to write this appeal.
Preface: When a player who is part of a town gets banned for violating rules with no chance of an unban then the town in which the player belongs to (or individual players, with the permission of the banned player) get to keep the hard earned items of the banned player that is located in their chests. Provided these items are not acquired illegally/are the source of them getting banned (for example, items acquired by duplication or x-ray).
With that being said, I would like to appeal for the enderchest of Madgodzilla. For those of you who don't know Madgodzilla got banned for griefing. Madgodzilla, however, was so much more than the inexcusable offence he committed. He was a player who knew how to grind. He was a player who knew how to build. I have benefitted much from his contribution to my city both when he was roaming the server freely and in his absence (with the amount of items he has left behind). However, there is one thing I yearn for, the one chest I cannot reach, that I know has the wealthiest spoils of all of his months of hard work and dedication. The most valuable of hidden treasures, if you will.
I have express permission from Madgodzilla to assume these items (please see attached in case it ever gets called to question). If admins can find it within their hearts to share his most valuable possessions that he worked so hard to acquire with a member of his city (me), and in turn the city itself, that he loved the most, my city and I would be truly grateful.
I feel that my city has lost quite a lot in his absence (it's been a ghost town in the past month or so), and to assume these items from my late friend would be quite a comfort, as it has more value to me sentimentally than it does just the items. With the contents of his enderchest (those of which I am not 100% certain on) I feel I will be able to keep a little piece of his memory, a memento of his prior hard work and dedication to the server prior to his ultimate undoing, with me at all times.
If anything, it would be nice to have a challenge advancement in the VH tab for collecting the fruits that were unlocked at 15k votes so that I know how many I have left to go. (So far I have the lemon, pear, and cherry, but I haven't been able to get the apple yet.) Maybe the name could be something like "Fruits Basket".
We have all been online when someone dies and we have all noticed the minor lag spike we get. Most of these deaths are avoidable. I get that keep inventory is on, so dying to get home is common when someone is not in the overworld, but there are instances where the death is avoidable but players will die just for fun or to "flex". Personally, I avoid death because I know the implications it has and how it affects others, but when players intentionally die over and over, we must ask the question of why are they dying so much. Especially a player that has full netherite armor. A newbie dying might just need a little help and we act accordiningly, but someone who can fully loot a bastion without death then repeatedly dies to something that can be mitigated, then they are causing issues for no reason.
For instance, a player gave a zombie a netherite axe fully enchanted for easier villager conversion, within 5 minutes of their log on every time (I called it), they would die to said zombie. They know that zombie has the axe and intentionally go die to it to show off that they gave a zombie a netherite axe. It is completely avoidable, but they just keep dying to it and the lag spikes affect everyone else online. It is annoying and interruptive, and that player is intentionally dying and causing aggravation to everyone else online.
This needs addressed to say the least. To combat this, death should remove all XP, not just 3 levels. If we increase the penalty, the abuse of keep inventory should decrease. I get that its a community server that encourages interactions between other players, but when you are dying for fun repeatedly, it negatively affects others. Newer players will leave the server due to the death lag and that now affects the entire server.
Not really a huge deal since I haven't played in awhile and haven't really lost much of value, but I logged back on and found my chests and only my chests destroyed. Mostly random stone and random items lost, but someone on the server said to report it in anyway.
It occurred to me last night to test this out, and indeed the only religious group that triggers the Chat Filter are Catholics. This has been going on too long (I encountered it on the first map I played), so I must bring it to the attention of the admins before someone with a lawyer and much more money than me to spend on something so frivolous files a discrimination lawsuit.
both vulgar in chat, pretty sure they are using a cheat client. back today for round 2. claiming they griefed spawn, likely one of the 2 public farms. Can we get a ban on these clowns? thanks!
He was already edging the annoyance line yesterday, but I'm not really feeling like we would watch this guy's rambling any longer.
I know he isn't talking English, but there is some very clearly intended vulgar language in there.
If you mind to translate some of it from polish, he is also using insults in there.
