Another player stuck at spawn

Another player, DreamNotaalt, is reporting they are stuck at spawn in the initial "accept rules" area. This seems to happen when a player joins and leaves before accepting the rules. It seems they are stuck when they come back -- the signs don't work to take them to the next area.

This happened when I just walked straight up and clicked the signs. Has anyone checked that they still worked since Mojang removed the ability to put commands into signs?

This is a ghost in the machine. I can't figure out why its happening. I'll ask the devs.
