In Vanilla High tradition, we always blow up the spawn of the current map before moving to our new world. This time will be no different and we will say bye bye to the presently running map. Keep watching the forum and/or the fan discord for when this is going to happen.

Once the Cliffs and Caves update has been released Vanilla High will be resetting the map fully.
As you know we only do this when we feel it is required as there are many community builds which are effected by such a reset.
When Mojang announced the update was to be split into two parts we had to make a decision on how to proceed that would both suit the server and impact our community the least. It was decided as the map was only one year old at the time of the release of part one that we would not reset the map and just allow new regions to load with the update. We also decided that the full reset would take place when part two is released, which of course is at the end of this month.
We know this will upset some and others will not be too bothered about the situation, but I think most knew this would probably happen. Vanilla High must move with the releases and allow all players both old and new to experience the full updates.
As you can appreciate there is a lot of work happening in the background by all staff to make this happen and this is our priority.
I announced yesterday that roll backs will no longer happen on the current map as the map will not be live from next week.
Please still report issues as this is not a free pass for griefing and raiding, we will still ban and jail players.
FortunesGrace was invited to my base last night, and invited to stay. They have been in my shulkers every time I set them down. I am missing at least a stack of netherite blocks. I have two other empty slots that weren't there before, so I don't know what else is missing.
As you are probably aware by now we are just over a week away from the latest instalment in the world of Minecraft.
Due to this, it is time for staff to carry out some cleaning and maintenance of the forum. A sweeping brush will be required to clean through and remove the cobwebs.
From today until the launch of the latest update the following will no longer be possible
1. Grief and raid report roll backs.
2. Ban appeal requests.
3. Jail appeal requests.
Please note this does not mean staff will not ban people for griefing, raiding or hacking. You will just not be permitted to appeal when you are caught.
Hello everyone, just a friendly farewell to Draconia, a city who has rivers, mountains and above all serenity, we have had many members begin and end their journeys with us since June 2020 months after the pandemic had begun. We had a lot of fun, drama and spent a lot of time on discord. We really discovered our place in the world. We made 4 town centers, 5 giant people, 3 stone animal statues, 2 mega statues, 2 mega bases, 1 temple, Unlimited chicken statues and non-statues (Age of Chickens), 1 island, 1 wallbridge, 1 blimp, multiple Viking huts, 1 better-than-real-life flower garden, multiple medieval buildings, 1 heart, 1 ghost, 1 japanese gate, 1 japanese house, 4 castles, 1 factory, 1 baf tree, mushroom tree house (includes fairies), 1 hobbit house, 1 oddly shaped mushroom house O_O, 3 modern homes, 1 pvp arena, and 1 firesword statue.
I personally dedicated a total of 786 hours to this server or 32 days of my life. It was worth the experiences definitely made it worth!

The new server has been delivered and I'm currently in the process of finalizing operating system installation and migrating the Vanilla High world. This will take a little while as the Vanilla High world is currently 192 GB
The whole process will be transparent for players. All your builds, inventory and ender chest contents will remain the same after the move. This migration will be completed before the end of January 2021.
Cancellation of Asia Relay
An important change is that the Asia relay (asia.vanillahigh.net) will be cancelled. The DNS record asia.vanillahigh.net will point to the new server when the move is complete. Players using asia.vanillahigh.net are advised to start using mc.vanillahigh.net instead.
The EU relay (eu.vanillahigh.net) will remain operational.
