It is no secret now within the Vanilla High community that the server will have a brand new world when Minecraft 1.16 is released. Things have been slow on our side because custom terrain generation was brought back for this update, theoretically allowing us to have our "high" world without using the amplified generator which was very taxing on computing resources. The bad news is that it is very poorly documented and we have had to resort to lots of trial and error to understand how the new terrain generator works. The good news is that we have finally obtained something that brings "High" to Vanilla High while being less annoying than Amplified.

Like always, the current world will be moved to the whitelisted Vanilla High legacy server archives and remain playable for some time to allow current players to finish their builds, take screenshots and videos.

Mojang has announced June 23rd 2020 as a release date for 1.16. The Vanilla High Team is working towards making the new world available as early as possible from release date.

Keep watching this thread for updates.
